BCU FINANCIAL NEW MEMBER REFERRAL PROGRAM TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The BCU Financial Member Referral Offer begins on August 8, 2024, at 12:01 am EST, and ends on December 31, 2024, at 11:59 pm EST (the “Term”), unless terminated earlier following these terms and conditions. 

The $50.00 new chequing account cash reward (“$50.00 Cash Reward”) is open to current credit union members (“Members”) of BCU Financial who:

(i) are at least 18 years or older and residents of the Province of Ontario;

(ii) hold a personal chequing account with BCU Financial; and

(iii) are not BCU Financial employees or retired employees.

To qualify for the $50.00 Cash Reward, the Member must provide their unique referral link (“Referral Link”), which they receive by email from BCU Financial, to a prospective member of BCU Financial (“Prospective Member”). The Prospective Member is then required to open the Referral Link and complete all the requisite information required. Thereafter the Prospective Member shall be required to apply for credit union membership and successfully open a personal chequing account with BCU Financial, during the Term. After the Prospective Member completes the membership application process and is successfully approved for membership by BCU Financial, and a personal chequing account is opened in the Perspective Member’s name, the $50.00 Cash Reward will be automatically deposited into the Member’s personal chequing account the month following account opening.

To be eligible to participate in the BCU Financial Member Referral Offer, and qualify as a Prospective Member, each individual who receives and completes a Referral Link provided to them by a Member must:

(i) be at least 18 years or older and a resident of the Province of Ontario;

(ii) not have previously been a Member of BCU Financial for any time between July 1, 2021 and December 31, 2024; and

(iii) is not a BCU Financial employee or retired employee.

To qualify for the $25.00 new chequing account cash reward (“$25.00 Cash Reward,”) and the $100.00 credit union membership fee reimbursement (“$100.00 Membership Fee”), the Prospective Member must complete a Referral Link provided to them by a Member and successfully complete the membership application process and open a personal chequing account with BCU Financial during the Term. After the Prospective Member completes the membership application process and is successfully approved for membership by BCU Financial, and a personal chequing account is opened in the Perspective Member’s name, the $100.00 Membership Fee will be waived, and the $25.00 Cash Reward will be automatically deposited into the Prospective Member’s personal chequing account with BCU Financial.

BCU Financial reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to end, cancel, change or suspend the BCU Financial Member Referral Offer at any time prior to the completion of the Term or change these terms and conditions for any reason without prior notice.

The BCU Financial Member Referral Offer is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. The decisions BCU Financial makes with respect to all aspects of the BCU Financial Member Referral Offer are final and binding on all parties without the right of appeal, including, without limitation, any decisions regarding the eligibility of any individual for receipt of a reward or the approval of a Prospective Member for membership with BCU Financial. By participating in the BCU Financial Member Referral Offer, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

BCU Financial reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any person it finds or believes (using any evidence or other information made available to BCU Financial) to be manipulating or otherwise abusing the process, fairness, integrity or operation of the BCU Financial Member Referral Offer.

By participating in the BCU Financial Member Referral Offer you agree to BCU Financial collecting, using, disclosing and sharing your personal information to administer BCU Financial Member Referral Offer. BCU Financial may share this information with third parties who may be outside of Ontario or Canada. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between these terms and conditions and disclosures or other statements contained in any offer-related materials, including, but not limited to print or online advertising, these terms and conditions shall prevail, govern and control to the fullest extent permitted by law.
